Dr. Prahlow grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana and attended Valparaiso University for undergraduate training.  After graduating from the Indiana University School of Medicine, he did a Transitional Year at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and completed his specialty training with the Indiana University Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

He and his wife, Julie, have three children.  They spend their free time camping and hiking, cooking, and going to family reunions.
